26 October 2011 Uee is Sad That "Birdie Buddy" is Coming to an End
"Birdie Buddy" is a drama that's been met with more obstacles than most. It has put After School's Uee through about a year of heartaches before it finally got picked up by tvN to begin airing this year.
On October 26, the 24 episode drama finally came to an end. Despite being busy with her KBS drama, "Ojakgyo Brothers," Uee made sure to keep up with every episode and watched it live. "On days she couldn't watch it live, she'd wait for the rerun and monitor her acting then," officials of Pledis revealed.
"Birdie Buddy" is a special one because not only is it her first leading role, but also a drama that had difficulty being picked up by a network for nine months. After overcoming the heartache, however, she was able to give wings to her acting career.
Fortunately, she also received much praise from viewers as the role of a countrified lady learning to realize her dream of becoming a professional golfer.
"The drama's main audience was intended to be females in their 20's and 30's, but we were able to bring in even men in their 40's and 50's," the production company proudly revealed. The drama recorded 25% in nationwide viewer ratings, coming to a successful close.

13 September 2011 UEE shows off some skin in a bath scene for ‘Birdie Buddy
Fans of After School‘s UEE were in for a shock when they watched September 13th’s episode of tvN‘s “Birdie Buddy“!
The show aired a bath scene with UEE in a natural spring. The storyline was that golf master ‘Yoon Gwang Baek‘ (played by Robert Holley) put ‘Sung Mi Soo‘ (played by Uee) through a hellish training routine. Because of this, ‘Mi Soo’ didn’t have time to wash off the paint and ended up taking a bath in the valley.
The filming took place at a valley in Young Wol during the winter, and despite the cold weather, UEE was said to have enthusiastically jumped into the water to help bring a good shot.
Fans marvelled over UEE’s smooth shoulders and healthy beauty, as they remarked, “This is what I call true beauty“, “I like rounded shoulders more than jutting collarbones“, and “She looks so cold“.

29 August 2011 After School's Uee Puffs Out Her Cheeks
UEE recently showed off pictures of herself from the set.
UEE currently appears on tvN’s Birdie Buddy. On the sixth episode, UEE puffed her cheeks out while holding a teddy bear. She looked just like her nickname ‘steamed bread with sweet bean jam lady’ in the show.
She traded in her sexy stage costumes for casual clothes while she was on the set. She also chose a simple watch to go with her outfit.
People responded: “I thought she is only sexy but she is also cute.” “She will become a great actress in the future.”
Birdie Buddy is based on artist Lee Hyun Se’s comic and features golfers’ lives and loves. The show will air every Monday and Tuesday at 11:00 p.m.
