5 July 2011 Fans to decide After School’s sub-unit members

With the announcement of After School’s new units, AS Red and AS Blue, fans have become curious about the membership of each unit.
As previously reported, After School’s management company revealed that there will be new units within the group. A picture was attached with the announcement, which showed Kahi, UEE, Jooyeon, and E-young wearing a black outfit, while Raina, Jungah, Nana, and Lizzy donned white. Netizens believed that the members for the two units were shown through that picture.

However, in a newly revealed photo, some of the members swapped places, which caused speculations to run anew.

After School’s management company, Pledis Entertainment, shed a little light about the situation: “We have yet to decide which member will be what unit. We will give fans the power to vote on where each member should go. During After School’s second fan meeting on July 9th, we will take the fans’ votes and decide on the units.“

Netizens who saw this commented, “I was surprised to hear that one team will split into two units. But to hear that fans will decide on the unit members, I am shocked!” “What is this? The members hasn’t been decided yet?” “After School is the group that always surprises their fans! This is different!”

24 June 2011 After School to promote two units at the same time next month

For the first time ever, After School will be promoting two separate unit groups at the same time!

On June 24th, Pledis Entertainment revealed, “For After School’s fourth single, which is currently scheduled for release in mid-July, the girls will be splitting into two units and will be making a comeback on the same exact date.”

They continued, “Not only will they have a sexy and powerful image concept, but also another concept that aims to contrast against that to bring out a variety of different images through this promotion cycle.”

The members for each unit group and style concept have yet to be revealed, so remember to stay tuned for more updates!

20 June 2011 Uee’s Solo Activity Feat an ASB + Sub-Units + Orange Caramel’s 1st Album

New info concerning Uee’s digital single and an Orange Caramel album.

  

 As you can see from the above chart Pledis has been working on a lot of activities to keep our girls busy in the upcoming months.

Confirmed release:

Uee: Digital single: ‘속속속 soksoksok’ – - promo song for Le Coq Golf - JongHyun (종현) from After School Boys will be featured on the song.


The group/sub-unit activities will most likely be conducted as follows:

AS Originals: 1st Mini Album ’Time To Click’ (가희 정아 주연 베카 레이나 나나) (Kahi, Jung Ah, Joo Yeon, Bekah, Raina, Nana)

Orange Caramel: 1st Album ’Sweet Caramel~♡’

After School: Digital Single/Mini album

Violet Girls: Digital single (리지, 이영, 예비입학생 3명) (Lizzy, E-Young, Three Pre-School Girls – Yoonjo, Yoo Ara & Kyungmin?)

The song by AS Originals is said to be very strong and addictive.

As Originals orginally included Bekah as a member but with her ‘graduation’ she will no longer be involved. There has been no definate word from Pledis nor a confirmed release date for any of the activities listed besides U-ie’s digital single.

None of the information listed above is confirmed. For now everything is just a rumor.

20 June 2011 After School Singles

The first unit will release a single on 21st July and another unit will release another single on 28th July. First unit is highly likely to be After School Originals - Kahi, Jung Ah, Raina, Joo Yeon & Nana.. Their mini album is said to be ‘Time to Click’.

2nd unit.. I don’t know what it is. But I guess people should know about a sub-unit that’s been in the works, called Violet Girls. Violet Girls will be a girl band unit, members are said to be Lizzy, E-young & 3 Pre-School Girls presumably said to be Yoonjo, Ara & Kyungmin. I don’t think it might be this sub-unit though.. The timing is almost too soon, and it would be crazy to add all of them in immediately.

However, all of this is not confirmed.

17 June 2011 Information regarding second Sub Unit

2nd sub unit is call AFTER SCHOOL ORIGINALS.

First mini album will release in September-October. They re-recorded songs. Nana will take over Bekah parts in rapping. They should be having activities in Korea since it’s mini album. However it’s all not confirmed.

2 title songs, all recorded without Bekah. One is hiphop, and one is a softer image kind of track. 3 MVs. Bekah’s solo song will be in this group’s digital single.

Members: Kahi, Jung Ah, Joo Yeon, Nana & Raina
